They signify greatness, strength, agility and the mental aptitude to win the State Spelling Bee contest. In this case, a trophy represents the man (or woman) who can grow the best mustache in all the land at the Petaluma Whiskerino. These were screen printed in a mighty edition of 50 with 3 colors, two of which glisten and flicker in the sunlight in all their metallic glory. And sadly, you guessed it, I never won the State Spelling Bee. In January of 2010 my good-natured father and I traveled from the approximate coordinates of 38* 13' 57" N / 122* 38' 8" W (Petaluma, California) to 40* 39' 0" N / 73* 56' 58" W (New York, New York). Well... I guess approximate wasn't quite the right descriptor. Sure, I should of said exact coordinates, but that's beside the point. Regardless, we drove across the country, listened to amazing music, stayed in some neat cities and ate delicious food. In the end, I created this map of our journey and will be screen printing it in 3 colors as well as adding a little letter press love on top of that. In an effort to preserve a little of our past in the present, I researched, wrote and designed the Lan-Mart Gardens proposal.
